About Your Therapist:

Stacy Glodkowski, LMT, NCBTMB, ABMP

Integrative Therapist
Certified Health Educator

Since 2004, Stacy has been helping children and adults overcome anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. She understands that everyone is not the same and different methods work for different people. She is always adding to her proverbial tool box. Stacy has extended training in anatomy & physiology, the nervous system, the immune system, and nutrition.  Her unique treatments consist of a combination of corrective massage, breath work, stretching, and joint mobilization while making it all flow together with relaxation techniques.

After experiencing the excruciating pain of four herniated discs in her lumbar spine rendering her unable to walk, sit, or stand, Stacy understands the critical nature of pain and has created relationships with several area Chiropractors & Spine Specialists to help her clients get their life back. Health is more than the absence of illness. Health is the presence of energy and balance. Living a healthy lifestyle is a choice. Sickness is not simply luck of the draw. Choose Health and live the life you have always imagined!

Currently, Stacy is perfecting her gift in Neuro-Emotional Balancing. The majority of our physical pain has an emotional component to it. This powerful modality balances the nervous system and is an emotional release technique which Stacy describes as, “Therapy without having to talk.”  She has studied under Dr. Ted Morter, Dr. Marianne Hoyle, and Dr. Ron Berger.  She has studied nutrition and the effects on inflammation  and the immune system under Dr. Abravanel and Dr. Morter.

The body has the amazing capacity to heal itself given the right environment and that every day aches & pains of growing older do NOT have to be your reality. That is why she became passionate about becoming certified in relieving chronic muscle tension patterns  in 2009 studying under Michael Takatsuno. Chronic tension and oxygen deprived muscles are the underlying cause of most of our pain.

As a practitioner, entrepreneur, author, and speaker, Stacy  educates her clients so that they can be advocates for healthy living. Stacy’s passion for helping people heal themselves and reach their full potential shines during her workshops on health related topics such as depression, cancer, toxins, and eating an alkaline diet. When she is not working with clients, Stacy enjoys yoga, salsa dancing, volleyball, volunteering at her church as well as the non-for-profit organization, Faye’s Light.

This year, Stacy is branching out and connecting with Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Fitness Trainers, Estheticians, Nutritionists, and other self-employed health and beauty professionals to help them realize the power of creating lasting relationships with their clients. We have all heard that word of mouth is the best (and most cost effective) way to get referrals, but how does that happen exactly? The most successful professionals have clients that are walking, talking, advocates for them. The practitioner does not need to boast about how great their services are. They have taught their clients how to do it for them. How? By initiating personal connections  utilizing 5 key activities that we all need to be doing no matter what our profession. As a practice,  when we recognize the long term value of customer relationships and extend communication beyond intrusive advertising and sales promotional messages, that is when our business is successful.

Stacy graduated from Northern Illinois University’s College of Business in 2002 and is currently a member of the internationally known communication and leadership club, Toastmasters. After starting several businesses- some successful- some not- she has learned a great deal from her mistakes. Training and coaching by professional business coaches, life coaches, and influential presenters such as Darren Hardy, Jim Rohn, and Tony Robbins have helped shape Stacy’s view on business and the importance of a balanced lifestyle. Her humble beginnings in public speaking began through presenting workshops on health-related topics to her clients as well as speaking at Chamber of Commerce events. She has been a guest presenter for the organization T.O.P.S. (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly). Another favorite is presenting at Career Day at Waubonsee Valley High School and other DECA events. She has been described by her audiences as “spunky” and excellent at providing anecdotes and real life examples to illustrate the information.
